Hi everyone,
Welcome to the curling season when Lesmahagow Ladies will be celebrating our 50th Anniversary.
Alison and Merle will soon have access to the website to contact you directly. The delay in handing over is down to me because I've been away a lot over the summer. Until they're up and running, Alison's asked me to pass on some information.
Although the rinks were all drawn up at the end of last season, ice booked on time and the syllabus printed to plan, quite a few club members have suffered illness or injuries which have led to quite a few changes. I'm sure that you'd like to join me in wishing our curling friends a speedy recovery and in thanking Alison and Merle for the work they've put in to ensure that our competitions go ahead as scheduled.

Annual Get Together at Hollandbush Golf Club
This event has been arranged by Iain Callan, Club President, for Thursday 6th Sept at 7.30pm.
It will be a quiz night with buffet supper .
It'd be great to see as many members there as possible, not only to catch up on news, but also so that you can collect your syllabus for the season.

Dates For Your Diary
As postage has become so expensive, we've stopped sending syllabuses to those who are unable to attend the quiz night. Your syllabus will be available from Merle the first time she sees you at the ice rink . Meanwhile here are the important dates:
Ladies Ice Rink Opening Bonspiel - Thursday 20th Sept. If you've said that you'll play, you should get a call from your skip with the time of your game.
50th Anniversary Bonspiel/Christine Mitchell Trophy - Thursday 27th Sept at 2.30pm with a meal to follow at 5pm.
Lamb Trophy - All games at 12.15pm. Dates Thursday October 4th, 11th, 25th, and November 1st and 8th. Only 5 games as we're down to 6 teams in this competition.
Morison Rosebowl (Pairs) - First rounds 15th Nov and Final on 22nd Nov
