LAMB TROPHY WINNERS and THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

Congratulations to the winners of our Lamb Trophy Competition, who were:

Margaret Levack (skip)
Jessie Marshall
Janet Drife
Jean Armstrong

This was an incredibly close competition with a possibility that 4 rinks could have ended on 8 points on the final day.
In the end, Margaret's rink and Anne Ramsay's rink were the only 2 on 8 points and when we looked at shots up, Margaret's rink won with 7 shots to Anne's rink's 4 shots up.
Exciting stuff!

The next competition is the PAIRS which will take place over the next 2 Thursdays. Please remember, ladies, that the pairs competition has 2 rounds on 1st December and we begin at the 10am session.
There is one change to the rinks in the syllabus. Elizabeth Coke will now be playing with Nora Jackson.

As there was only one available Thursday between the end of our club curling and the club's Geordie Watson Bonspiel, I decided not to organise a club outing for this time of year. Some members have agreed that this is a busy time of year for most people with Christmas shopping, social events with friends and family and school performances which can involve both parents and grandparents, but I have been told that others are disappointed about this decision.

The GEORDIE WATSON is the club event which we all enjoy as our annual Christmas Celebration at our own ice rink. This year it's on Monday 19th December. Thank you to everyone who is coming to support this competition. Page 14 of your syllabus has the names of members who said they would play.
PLEASE CONTACT A COMMITTEE MEMBER IF YOU CANNOT PLAY OR YOU ARE WILLING TO BE PUT ON A RESERVE LIST.
The success of this event depends on us having full rinks on the ice pad and we can often find substitutes if you give us a call.

If the club committee shares any information about menu choices or dress code for the night, I will arrange to pass the information on to you.
