As a large number of our club members who are playing in our Pairs competition would like to pay their last respects at the funeral of Jim Fleming on Thursday 1st November, I have rearranged the competition dates. I'm sure you'd like to join me in sending our condolences to family and friends. Jim was Jane Armstrong's uncle and Isobel Haddow's brother in law. His wife Shona used to curl with us in the past.
Although 'The Farmers' annual competition is on week beginning Mon 5th Nov, there is enough ice available on Thursday 8th to allow us to have 2 sheets at 10am and 1 sheet at 12.15pm to play the first 2 rounds of our competition.
1 sheet is available for us on Thursday 8th at 12.15pm for our final.
SO.........PLEASE JUST CHANGE THE DATES ON PAGE 21 OF YOUR SYLLABUS TO 8TH AND 15TH and then arrangements are much as before.
I previously mentioned online that Helen was unable to play and that Elizabeth Coke was replacing her throughout the competition. As Diana goes on holiday on 8th, she is withdrawing and a substitute lead will be placed with Ann Howie (to be confirmed).
Any questions, come to me as Anne Marsh is not playing in this competition and Merle is having a well earned holiday.
