Hi curlers!
On
behalf of the girls at the Let Us Shine Academy in Ghana THANK YOU SO
MUCH to everyone who kindly gave me donations ahead of my trip to
Kpandai in Ghana, West Africa.
For
all the money that my friends and I raised – Barclays Bank matched it £
for £, bringing the total to £85,000! This paid for a high school, the
girls’ bed and board at the school, healthcare and teachers salaries.
My
visit to Kpandai was a life changing experience. I saw a lot of
hardship and sadness which was very difficult. But there was also a lot
of happiness. Especially when I showed the girls video clips of
curling on my ipad and they were skiting about in the dust trying to
copy the delivery!
