Hi everyone and welcome to the 2015-16 curling season.
Lesmahagow Ladies Section's curling season opened with the Christine Mitchell Bonspiel on Thursday 24th September. It was great to fill all 6 sheets of ice with cheery faces obviously enjoying the curling, chocolates and opportunity to catch up with friends.
Lesmahagow lady curlers were joined by curlers from Upperward Ladies, Douglas, East Kilbride and Haremyres, Dippool, Strathaven Ladies, Lanark and Lesmahagow to play in a 7 end bonspiel before enjoying a light afternoon tea in the restaurant.
Our President, Elizabeth Coke, presented the trophy and prizes to the winning rink of:-

P.S. There was a closely run competition for the booby prizes this year. We would hope that we can be forgiven for any marital strife in the Marshall household following the committee's decision to give the prizes to Billy's rink rather than to the rink skipped by Jessie:-)
