Lesmahagow Ladies' 2016-2017

Hi Ladies,

Your committee is already beavering away to get the next season's curling organised. I started off the ice bookings way back in May, your committee met and selected the rinks for next year, Merle typed up all the ladies information for the new syllabus, we've updated the RCCC website information and are well on our way to filling the 6 sheets of ice for the Christine Mitchell Bonspiel. Anne already has a note of dates when she has to find reserves for our rinks and we've already had to make 2 rink changes for the Lamb Trophy because Mary Hodge and Margaret Hyslop have, unfortunately, had to withdraw.
I hope you're all looking forward to getting back on the ice within the next few weeks.

For those of you who didn't manage to the get together on 26th August, like me, I've heard that it went well.
Congratulations to the winners of the treasure hunt who were Philip and Anne Marsh, Drew and Elma Walker and Vera Anderson. The runners-up were the Levack family minus Margaret who competed with friends in another car.

Syllabuses were distributed on the night to those who attended. Postage costs are now considerable so some members have volunteered to pass syllabuses to friends who could not attend.

Merle still has several other syllabuses and will pass those on at the Ice Rink Ladies Opening Bonspiel (Thurs 22nd Sept) or at The Christine Mitchell Bonspiel (Thurs 29th Sept). To ensure that everyone knows the date and time of their first game, I've added the information from the syllabus to the website and Merle will phone anyone we haven'tmanged to reach at the 2 bonspiels mentioned above.
As usual, the secretary is right in the centre of the organisation, so Merle's the one to contact this year, if you have any questions about what's happening, but we're working closely together and I'm happy to answer any queries if I can and to listen to anything you want to pass on throughout the season.

We do intend to push forward with contacting you via the website, email and text as well as landline, so please keep checking your emails from time to time.
I mentioned at our Ladies'AGM, that there is now a part of our website which asks you to add your email address. When you do this, any time we add anything to the website, you will automatically be notified through your own email. You can keep up with club information without needing to keep checking when there may not have been any updates.

See you soon,
Rona
