Finishing up my duties as secretary and starting off my presidential ones by writing this blog
Firstly, we ended our last season with the Promiscuous on Thursday 17th April and the winners were:
Skip Rebecca Gardner with Jessie Marshall and Elizabeth Miller. Congratulations, ladies. Elizabeth presented the winners with beautiful flowers.
The AGM followed and your new committee is:

We've got a busy time ahead of us, but we're up for the challenges of running the club competitions and days away as well as organising fund raising events to help us to celebrate the Ladies Section's 50th Anniversary in 2018.
This will increase the committee workload and it'll be important to keep communication flowing between the committee and the membership.
With that in mind - In this time of increased technology, we're hoping to update the way we communicate with you by using the club blog, club and personal email and personal text, if possible. We are aware that this doesn't suit everyone so we'll try not to lose the personal touch along the way.

There is now a little box on the right hand side of our ladies' home page which you can add your email address. You will receive information on your own email every time anything new is posted on our blog.
Dates for your diary AND Things to consider
1. Club prizegiving dinner is on Friday 8th April in Lanarkshire Ice Rink, 7 for 7.30. If you haven't already given your name and food choices to one of last year's committee, who have been phoning round, please contact me.
2.Club AGM is in LIR on Tuesday12th at 7.30pm. All members welcome. Just come along. It is NOT the men's AGM. This is your chance to discuss any concerns or bring any ideas to improve the way things work.
I've sent an email to everyone on our members list about new club clothing. Check your email and spam folder for this and contact me if it hasn't come through. Styles and prices for you to look at.
If you are interested in ordering something let us know, we'll get back to you when a decision has been made .
3. LIR Ladies AGM is Thursday 31stMarch at 1.30 in LIR
4.Ladies Section Golf Day at Hollandbush is Thursday 2nd June. I need to confirm numbers of golfers to South Lanarkshire Council soon, so if you know anyone who wants to play, please let me know as soon as possible. As usual, non golfers will be welcome to join us for dinner about 5pm. We can confirm these numbers nearer the time.
5.We passed a sheet around at the AGM to get an update on email addresses and mobile phone numbers for committee use. We will only put mobile numbers in the syllabus if you ask us to. Please contact one of the committee with this info if we don't already have it.
